About the event

SWSG (Sex Worker Support Group) aims to create a safe, confidential space for queer sex worker’s of all industries and identities to connect with each other and discuss the intricacies of sex work, the intersectionalities of being a queer sex worker. As well as share grievances, achievements, and resources in a mediated environment away from non-industry civilians.

SWSG is open to all queer active sex workers or retired/semi-retired sex workers, such as, but not limited to virtual/remote sex workers, full-service sex workers, lewd models, dancers and burlesque performers,  BDSM/kink professionals, and all other industry workers (dungeon employees, videographers, event organizers, etc.)

As part of our mission to aid and uplift SW's will also be cultivating a network of resources through guest speakers, in-house lifestyle concierges/ marketing professionals, partner groups dedicated to SW, advocates and legal professionals.Through this network we will aim to provide skills to help sex workers; build their branding, learn styling and marketing techniques, build financial literacy and navigate taxes, gain connections in legal aid, get referrals to orgs that distribute self defense tools and provide trainings, and get access to a community vetted safety net of gigs, venues, and events with feedback and reviews. Lastly all group members will have access to an industry discount to a queer-owned sex shop and latex vendor courtesy of Purple Passion.

We understand the unique privacy concerns in relation to sex worker. You are not required to use your legal name when RSVPing. Feel free to use an alias or stage name. Please reach out to Stephen Roxbourne (he/him) at stephen@lgbtbrooklyn for more info and questions.
