Covid-19 Precautions and Policies

Updated: August 25, 2023

As we continue to monitor reports of a new wave of Covid-19 infections, we want to assure you that the health and well-being of our community remains our top priority. As such, we'd like to provide an update on our current COVID-19 guidelines.

Guidance from Health Authorities:

Brooklyn Community Pride Center is closely monitoring the guidance provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and NYC’s Department of Health & Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) . Their expertise continues to inform our approach as we strive to create a safe and healthy environment for all. We will simultaneously adjust our policies in accordance with the agencies’ most recent guidance.

Mask Policy:

At this time, wearing masks while at the Center is optional for all visitors and staff members. We encourage you to do what is best to protect yourself and those around you,  but respect your personal choices regarding mask usage at this time

Preventive Measures:

We encourage everyone to prioritize regular COVID-19 testing, especially if you have been in contact with individuals who might have been exposed to the virus. Additionally, if you are experiencing any symptoms, no matter how mild they may be, we kindly ask that you stay home and prioritize your health and the well-being of others.

Safety Supplies:

For your convenience and peace of mind, we have masks and hand sanitizers readily available throughout our facilities.

Stay Connected:

In these times of physical distancing, remember that we are still a community, and we are here to support each other. While we hope to have minimal disruptions, we will be sure to communicate any changes or cancellations to in-person events

We appreciate your continued cooperation, understanding, and vigilance as we work together to navigate the ongoing challenges posed by the pandemic. Please stay tuned for any further updates as the situation evolves. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to us at info@lgbtbrooklyn.org.

Stay safe, stay connected, and take care of yourselves and each other.
