Anyone 17 years of age or older who wants to learn their HIV status can request a free test kit. Kits are available for pickup at both our Bed-Stuy (1360 Fulton St) and Crown Heights (1561 Bedford Ave) locations. If visiting us in person is not an option, we can mail it to you for free! In addition, you can receive a $20 visa card incentive when you report your results back to our community health workers. They will also help you get connected to further sexual health services, if desired.

OraQuick is an in-home oral HIV test approved by the FDA for use at home. It is the same test that healthcare professionals have been using for many years. You use the swab provided in the kit to gently swab your upper and lower gums, then insert the swab into the provided test tube. Results are available within 20 minutes. Step-by-step instructions are provided in the kit and you can watch a brief tutorial here.
