About the event

The 45-minute film uses a collection of primary sources to uncover the lost story of the Blues Bar Riots and captures oral histories from 4 LGBTQ+ activists in New York at the time. Interviewees include Dr. Joyce Hunter, James Credle, Sarah Schulman, and Andy Humm. Screening will be followed by a short talk-back with Beau Lancaster (The Shady Historian) and James Credle (Black and White Men Together).
