About the event
The LGBTQ+ Education and Acceptance Project (LEAP) at CAMBA is currently accepting applications for our Fall 2024 Filmmaking Program! We are looking for high school students aged 15 to 18 who are interested in learning the basics of filmmaking and making their own short film. Â
Our sessions will be on Saturdays from October 5th to November 23rd between 12PM and 4PM in Brooklyn. Â Please read over the eligibility and share with any youth who may benefit from this opportunity! Applications are due September 20th. Â
Eligibility:Â
- Must be between the ages of 15 and 18 by the start of the program (October 2024)Â
- Must be currently enrolled in high schoolÂ
- Must be a current resident of or attend school in Brooklyn or QueensÂ
- Must be available on Saturdays from October 5th to November 23rd between 12PM and 4PMÂ
- Must speak English fluentlyÂ
- If under 18, must get parental consent to participate in the programÂ
- Priority will be given to BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) LGBTQ+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, +) applicants Â
