LGBTQ+ Pilates with Sofia

Together we will get moving, revitalizing our relationships with our bodies by deepening our awareness and knowledge of self. This class is both sweaty and contemplative. In community we will heal, strengthen, and find stability, joy, and breath. Modifications, verbal cueing, and consensual touch feedback will be provided.

Registration is optional so we can send you updates and classes are free, but if you can spare a donation of any amount between $0 and $15 (payable via Venmo @freeskewl) that would be greatly appreciated. The class will continue online only, please join us on Zoom with meeting ID 01 463 2483 (Rev Computer Generated Captions provided).

About Sofia Engelman:

Sofia is a white Crown Heights-based queer, dance artist, and Pilates instructor, who fell in love with Pilates while navigating chronic illness and then healing from a subsequent invasive, emergency surgery. Sofia loves working with folx who are LGBTQ+, of any size, pre- or post-gender affirming surgery, disabled, or chronically ill. When they are not teaching Pilates, they organize accessible dance events under the moniker "freeskewl" and teaches movement to young people in the NYC public schools.
