Brooklyn Pride Center - Crown Heights

Brooklyn Pride Comic Book Fair

The Brooklyn Pride Comic Book Fair is back for an incredible fourth year, and to accommodate our growth we are excited to be moving to Brooklyn Pride Community Center on Bedford Avenue!

Time & Location

Jun 15, 2024, 12:00 PM – 7:00 PM

Brooklyn Pride Center - Crown Heights, 1561 Bedford Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11225, USA

About the event

Previously, a small outdoor fair, we are now a small convention, with many more art tables and art / comics related panels, (including a requiem for Krakoa for all the X-Men fans out there).

This free event is a fun and accessible way to experience independent art and stories from marginalized voices.

Sponsored by Anyone Comics and Geeks Out! The Brooklyn Pride Comic Book Fair began with cartoonist John Jennsison, a queer cartoonist who had battled cancer for the majority of his adult life. For him, comic books were an escape and an outlet. As COVID-19 limited access to conventions and comic shops in 2020, he created the Pride Fair to prove there was a way to do conventions safely for immunocompromised individuals like himself.

The Pride Fair has moved indoors into the Center, but the tenets remain as we have masks as mandatory so that anyone can experience the event. The Pride Center is on the lower level and has elevator access.

Continuing the tradition of previous years, there is an after party, the (Un)masked Ball back at Anyone Comics on Nostrand Ave with drinks, Drag performances, geek trivia and Burlesque performances.
