Mars awakens to his sister trying to kill him. He kills her instead. It’s an accident. They say she just went crazy. But Mars knows his sister. She was not crazy. Something scared her. Something at Aspen, the prestigious summer camp in the woods that she ran all the way home from.

Now, Mars is going back to discover Aspen’s dark secrets for himself. Secrets guarded by a group of beautiful and terrifying girls known as the Honeys.

He’ll soon learn the things we must really fear are bold enough to hunt in the light.

The Honeys released on August 16.

Ryan La Sala writes about surreal things happening to queer people. He is the author behind the riotously imaginative Reverie, and the brilliantly constructed Be Dazzled, both of which made the Kids’ Indie Next List. He has been featured in Entertainment Weekly, NPR, Tor.com, and one time Shangela from RuPaul’s Drag Race called him cute! Ryan is the host of the infamous La Sala Writers Salon, the co-host of the Bad Author Book Club Podcast, and a frequent speaker at events/conferences. When not writing, Ryan does arts & crafts, and rollerblades around Central Park.

Space is limited!

If you’d like to purchase a copy of the book for Hugh to sign after the event, we are thrilled to once again team up with our local bookseller partner, Greenlight Bookstore, to provide that option. Just select your book purchase as an add-on from the registration page ($20.95 plus processing fees).
